Media & OTT

The archive is an asset. Make it behave like one.

Most media libraries are large, old and effectively unsearchable. The same models that read text for the newsroom can read a video shelf.

Three bills and one shelf

A media organisation with a large library usually has the same three problems at once. Nobody can find anything, so material gets re-shot rather than re-used. Rights are policed by whoever happens to notice. And the delivery invoice grows with the catalogue whether or not anyone is watching.

All three are the same underlying problem: nothing in the system knows what is actually inside the video. Once something does, the archive becomes searchable, reuse becomes detectable, and bitrate can be spent where a viewer will notice it.

These are the models we built for that, and they are the reason this company also builds a newsroom platform. Reading a video shelf and reading a text archive turn out to be closely related problems.

Capabilities

What we can do with a video library

A media library is only an asset if you can find things in it, ship them affordably, and know when somebody else is using them. These are the models we built for that.

Archive remastering

Cleans up old footage and brings it to a standard worth putting on a streaming service, rather than leaving decades of tape unpublishable.

A library you can search

Automatic labelling across your media so footage is found by what is in it. The alternative is a person watching tape.

Copyright matching

Matches video against your catalogue to find reuse, down to a single second of matching footage.

Context in the player

X-ray style metadata surfaced inside the player, so a viewer can see what and who is on screen without leaving the video.

Moderation at upload

Image, video and audio moderation for user-generated content, so people review the exceptions instead of everything. Audio is tested in English and Hindi.

Lower delivery cost

Reduces resolution on the parts of a frame carrying no detail worth paying for. The saving lands on the CDN invoice, not on screen.

How it ships

Three products and a platform

Nothing on this page is a research project. Each capability sits inside something already built.

Media Pipeline

Labelling and search, remastering, copyright matching, in-player context, moderation and selective encoding.

Media Pipeline

Triveni

The enhancement layer underneath remastering — noise removal, resolution enhancement, and working from camera originals including RAW.

Triveni

DeepFile

The other half of the library: search and an agent over your own material, with video searchable by the people in it or by describing what happens.

DeepFile

DigiDesk

If the library belongs to a newsroom, the media module and the publishing pipeline are already part of the same desk.
