Who we are
About the company
Manotr Techlabs Private Limited is an AI think tank. A team of research scientists working across language, computer vision, audio, deep learning and analytics — and, unusually for a think tank, shipping the results as products people use on a deadline.
That combination is deliberate. Research that never leaves the lab is a hobby, and products built on somebody else's API stop where that API stops. Building both means the model and the interface can be changed in the same week, by the same people.
The company is being narrowed to one thing: news and media. DigiDesk is the editorial platform, News Agent is the archive underneath it, and the media work exists because a publisher's video shelf has the same problem as its text archive. The other products are real, supported, and came from the same research.
We are in Mumbai and work with clients worldwide. Manotr Techlabs is registered as an MSME under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Act, 2006 (UDYAM-MH-19-0001158).
-
Problem first, not tool first
We diagnose before we prescribe. Sometimes the answer is not AI, and saying so is part of the job.
-
Private by architecture
On-premise and on-device wherever sensitivity or regulation demands it. A system with nowhere to send your data cannot send it.
-
Built to hand over
We deliver systems your team can own, extend and maintain. Permanent dependency is not the business we want.
Ankit Goel
Founder, CEO & CTO
Founder, CEO and CTO of Manotr Techlabs. Previously Chief Information Officer of a national cruise operator — India's first — where he led a team of up to thirty engineers: the shore-side systems built from scratch, guest and travel-agent booking, the connections to the marketing sites, and oversight of on-board IT and satellite communications. He founded Manotr to work on the research side of the same problems, and has since led deployments across news, education, hospitality, food service and defence.
